who are we?
Paul Bernella is an adjunct professor in the Deaf ASL-ESOL program at Austin Community College Austin, TX. Paul started out as an elementary and middle school teacher at John Kinzie Elementary School in Chicago before moving to Indianapolis in 2005 to teach middle school mathematics at the Indiana School for the Deaf. Since his move to Austin in 2012, he has been teaching ASL and English to ASL-ESOL students at ACC. He also works as a tutor at ACC Learning Lab. Paul earned his B.S. in Deaf Education from Northern Illinois University and his M.S. in Deaf Education from McDaniel College. He now lives in Austin with his one and only love and their wonderful children.
Summer Crider Loeffler currently works an adjunct professor at Austin Community College and teaches online courses for the ASL and Deaf Studies department at Gallaudet University. Additionally, she works as a videographer and editor for various contract jobs, mostly related to educational media and ASL curriculums. She was a former teacher at Texas School for the Deaf, teaching ASL and Spanish classes to middle and high school students.
Summer holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Gallaudet University and is currently studying for her second Master's degree in Digital Literacy. She currently resides in Austin, TX with her CODA husband and two Deaf dogs. |
